We are launching our new Partners Programe today, and to celebrate we have update all current ser accounts with 10, seven day featured adverts for you all to use ( worth £20 ) completely free of charge.
We have also added some basic Non airsot categories for you all to use which include Non Airsoft items for sale, Non Airsoft items Wanted and Non Airsoft Swap Shop.
Onto the Partners programe.
he Airsoft Exchange Partners Program is a project to give access to a national database driven classifieds system for all Airsofters through their regular Airsoft website.
Currently the websites that do offer classifieds mainly do so through the use of a basic forum area. none of the forums are linked and it can be time consuming & frustrating having to visit a number of website forums looking for items and having found them, the advert is well out of date but still being listed.
This project is aiming to replace the forum based adverts with a single searchable database driven system which airsofters can access from their regular Airsoft website, or any participating Airsoft website.
This is being offered to any UK or Irish Airsoft related website.
Some quick Q&A:-
Q:- Will this cost anything for my website to participate in?
A:- No, its entirely free to participate.
Q:- What restrictions are there ?
A:- Your website must be Airsoft related and mainly for UK or Irish Airsofters. This covers Community, Retail & Squad/team websites etc. We would ask you disable forum based classifieds if you have any.
Q:- How would it be intergrated into my website ?
A:- The simplest method would be a direct link within an Iframe on your own website. This would let you customise the area arround the frame to match your own website.
Q:- What's the benefit of this ?
A:- You get to provide a more efficient Classifieds system through your own website and your users get access to a searchable national database of airsoft related classifieds.
Q:- Do I need to provide anything ?
A:- A link button and your website details for inclusion in our official Partners list. The button needs to be 189x42 in size.
Our first two partner sites are already online - Cumbria Airsoft & 16AAB Squad website.

The Hit stats for September are now available, are are pretty impressive for such a young website
Total of 18854 hits over the month !
Most of our hits are coming from Direct input of our website address, this is closely followed by hits from Airsoft Ireland in 2nd place, Arnies in 3rd place and Airsofters in 4th place. The word is getting out and its showing in our hits. Many thanks to all those who have helped spread the word. Unfortunately were still shy of many ads but hopefully news of just how many people are visiting the site will help change that.
Other News:-
We have an agreement with Airsofter.co.uk now which allows us to include access to the Airsofters community directly from Airsoft Exchange. You can access the forum by selecting "Airsofters Forum" from our main page, located under the Members login on the Top right.
I have expanded the site to include Southern Ireland due to the number of hits comming from Airsoft Ireland, although I cant tell which part of Ireland the hits are coming from. If you are advertising from Southen Ireland, please advertise all prices in BP pounds.
A new special offer is now available for Airsoft & Surplus retailers for the month of October. This replaces our original offer available to game site owners. Details are listed on our home page.

Thanks to Airsoft Ireland & Airsoft Recce for running news items for Airsoft exchange.
I have added & updated a Links to us page with a few banners & buttons ( more will come soon ) and also some code to allow you to embed our ads within your own website. This gives your own site visitors another reason to return to your website. our Banners can be found HERE or by using the " Link to Airsoft Exchange " at the top left our our main page.

We have had a number of users sign up who have ether misstyped their email address or supplied non functional email addresses. If you have signed up, and have NOT received a confirmation email, please contact us with your username. We can then check it against the sign up emails that have bounced back and fix the problem for you.
To date, the site is averaging between 500-600 hits per day from potential buyers. We need potential sellers to advertise items. A more accurate hit count should be available at the end of September which will be the end of the sites first full month.
As the major Airsoft community portals have decided not to publish any news items relating to this sites lauch for whatever reasons, Im once again going to thank all the game sites listed on the Airsoft links section for agreeing to hand out information to their players for me. I would also like to thank the forum leaders at Airsofters.co.uk for behaving like a true friendly Airsoft community and openly welcoming me and this website.

Young Mr Christmas ( AKA Biggie on most forums ) will be attending the Fireball big game this weekend. Not only will he be armed with his AEG's he is arming himself with a healthy dose of Airsoft Exchange leaflets that he will be handing out. Thanks. Biggie.
A couple of minor issues have cropped up:-
1:- The confirmation email you receive on registration contains a login link to another website of mine instead of the Airsoft exchange login. Ignore that link please and return to the websites main page and login as normal. The script that sources the domain name and inputs it onto the mail is being looked at.
2:- This has only happened to one customer and is being investigated. Some images that should be displayed in adverts are not loading correctly from the database.
Both issues should be fixed by the end of the weekend.

We are OPEN ! All ads of all types now accepted. The UK's first Classifieds website dedicated to Airsoft is officially OPEN.

Over 5000 hits so far, and were not even open yet ( averaging 495 /day ).
Site owners who have signed up for the free Advertising deal, ( all those listed under the Airsoft links section on the left ) can you please create your user accounts before the 23rd if you have not already done so. I cant assign the free advertising to your user account if you havent got one. Please remember to send me a note of your username once you have created your account.
Members of the public may now create user accounts and buy adverts before the 23rd, but please dont place your ads just yet. Any adverts you buy but dont use immediatly will get " banked" on your user account to use at a later date ( unless your using the free ads then you dont need to buy them and they dont get banked ).
